Well.. This is it. In the wake of the final days I thought I'd better write
 something.
This is one of the most major blows that could ever be struck to the bbs
 world. First the bathtub and now portunus. Both these boards were simple in
 their ansi's and extremely easy to use while putting emphasis on socail things
 like messaging and on the bathtub chatting. Now with these two boards going we
 are going to have to look elsewhere... somewhere with three nodes or more.
 People.. I'm pleading with you. There are lots of insignificant single nodal
 bbs's out there... join up with someone and make a bbs together which you can
 be proud of..
anyway... thanks to all those people who put me on their lists.. i think i
 counted about 7 or 8 of you. Heheh.. sorry about laughing.. but i find it
 funny that nearly god got kicked off.. so he wont be able to read this bit..
 but... I totally object to what you wrote about me.. my description of myself
 is true and people are able to find me well enough with it.
well.. a specail thanks to a few people..
Cookie Monster (hope things work out in the end.. that's all we can truly ask
 for), Snells (are you always depressed? cause you'll end up like me and that's
 not a good thing), Estranged (yeah.. you're a groove dude... heheh), Joe
 Bloggs (you are perhaps the nicest guy i've ever met, make sure people dont
 walk all over you), Sleeping Beauty (well your advice has been crap [problems
 do not go away after a good nights sleep] but you were always a cool person to
 talk to. im going to miss you), Iron Maiden (80's heavy metal's cool man..
 dont let anyone tell you otherwise), Portunus (did you know... nah, its been
 done.. hehe.. you're a total groove dude).
they're just the extremely specail people i've been talking to lately.. and i
 know that i've missed thousands and thousands of good people out there.. and
 i've just thought of two right now
Casper and Fearless (you guys are both really cool people and perhaps beyond
 fear will become the legend that portunus was/is... if the quality of users
 keeps to what it is at the moment).
i know that i ruffled alot of feathers at one stage. im sorry.. i wanted to
 try and get some affirmative action going but.. being bbs'ers i guess we never
 really commit to much.

well as the great legends of the bbs's come to a close so do i. i hope that
 most of you will think well of me, though i know that most have the perception
 (and you're probably right) that im pathetic and have a puppydog image (not
 physically though im sure alot of people will argue about that)... well dont
 think of me any longer. if anyone wants to keep in touch cause i dont know how
 long i'll stay in the bbs scene.. message me (private messages) cause i know
 that i'll miss most of you people.
